Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church had it's beginnings in 1885 as a Sabbath School in Saddler's Neck, not far from our present location.  The Congregation moved to the current location  in 1903 after the construction a new wood framed building.  This original wood frame building was used up until 1968 when it was replaced by the current building.

What our Services are like...

Our Worship Service is rather traditional, we sing hymns, have an order of worship which is printed in a bulletin, our minister wears a robe, and the choir sings an anthem and we also have   a "You pick the hymn".

Our Sunday School begins at 9:00 am.  Classrooms are located in the Fellowship Hall to the right of the Sanctuary.

The Worship Service starts at 10:00 am in the main sanctuary.

Most people prefer to dress casually and we have a few suits here and there.

You can grab a bulletin from the table at the rear of the Sanctuary as you enter.  It will tell you what is happening.

Feel free to sit anywhere, there are no reserved pews.

Our minister, Rev. Fred Reed, preaches a sermon that touches us right where we are in our lives.

Now, all that you have to do is sit back, relax, and join us in worship.

If you have any questions, please feel to ask anyone. We will be very happy to answer your question or introduce you to someone who is able to do so.

And you can be sure that your presence will be acknowledged.

We sincerely hope that you will find Groves Memorial the place that you will want to hang your hat and become a part of our family...
