Volunteers
There are many ways that you may become involved in our programs.
We invite you to join us by being a part of any of the satisfying, meaningful, and rewarding opportunities both at Groves and our Local Community!…

“Choir”…
You don’t have to be the greatest singer in the state.  All that we ask is that you take a deep breath and join in.
Rehearsals are held following our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service in the Sanctuary.

 “Clean Gloucester Day”…

Twice during the year, we join in with dozens of others to clean the roads and streets in Gloucester County.  We gather at the church, get our vests, gloves, bags, and tongs.  Then go forth to remove the trash and litter from along the road in front of the church.  Afterward, we return to the church for treats and beverages. The next event will be in "March".  Keep an eye out for further information!

We have 2 Ladies Groups:  "Morning and Evening Groups which meet at the church in the Fellowship Hall.

Our Morning Ladies Group meets on the 1st Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

The Evening  Group, “Shelby Friends Circle” meets on the 3rd Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall
for Bible Study, followed by a short business meeting and sharing time.

Both groups are actively involved in supporting many local projects:
Support of the Union Baptist Church food closet….
Angel Tree program sponsored by the Salvation Army….
Shoe Lady program to buy shoes for children in local schools….
Salvation Army:  Stuff the Bus of school supplies…
G.U.E.S.T Program: Night Time Shelter for the homeless in Gloucester County.
Quarterly:  Prepare and donate meals for the staff at the Gloucester/Mathews Free Clinic.

  “S.A.G.”

Senior Adult Group:  Four times a year,  the “ADULTS”, gather together for an afternoon/evening of Fun, Food, and Fellowship. You don’t have to be a “Senior” to attend, just be ready for a “Great Afternoon Adventure!”
